Earlier last week, another alcohol crusader, the state-funded Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), rallied behind this move against the draught beer sale. Like these anti-alcohol movements, Thailand's strict regulations on booze consumption have already gone too far while doing little to solve the targeted problems. Thailand's alcohol control law is stricter than those of many countries, especially those in Europe. Despite the increased demonisation of alcohol consumption by the imposition of these regulations, Thailand's rate of road accidents has not decreased. Thai people love drinking draught beer, especially at beer festivals, because of its freshness.
